Craniomandibular dysfunction (CMD)

Craniomandibular dysfunction (CMD) describes various disorders of the masticatory system that can often lead to pain in the jaw area, clicking or grinding noises when moving the jaw, reduced mouth opening, headaches, dizziness, or even tinnitus.

Your treatment options for CMD

If you are diagnosed with CMD, your dentist may prescribe manual therapy or physiotherapy.

During therapy, we determine the cause of your symptoms and treat the structures triggering them using manual therapy. We also work with you to develop a program to reduce your symptoms and give you exercises to do on your own.

Interdisciplinary therapy for lasting success

Dentists, orthodontists, oral surgeons, and physical therapists must be involved in the treatment of CMD in an interdisciplinary manner in order to achieve lasting success. You may need a splint at night to protect your teeth, or other orthopedic problems may need to be included in the treatment. Together, we will develop your personal therapy concept.

Wir melden uns schnellstmöglich zur Terminvereinbarung bei Ihnen, nachdem wir Ihre Verordnung geprüft haben.
